		<description>Great post, Frank. You&#039;ve definitely laid out vital steps that have to be taken in order to produce an excellent, appealing, and scalable visual identity. One thing I would add, though, is the importance of starting out in black and white. It may not be necessary in every instance, but I find it useful to begin in the simplest color space and really focus on the core structures of the identity, including typeface and any iconography that is to be used. Once it works in black and white, it&#039;s fairly safe to assume it can scale and expand into different color spaces and retain its base appeal regardless of medium.</description>
