Rise designs the Scient'X USA website
The Scient’X team approached Rise with the desire to rework its consumer-facing website, focussed on its product line of spinal surgery tools and implants. Scient’X had become fed up with its out-of-date, difficult to navigate, and frustratingly unusable website and sought a new streamlined take on its online marketing hub.
Following extensive stakeholder interviews, Rise began the project with an in-depth “uncovery” phase, taking into account the new website’s potential userbase, technical needs, and information architecture requirements. It became clear that a primary goal for the new Scient’X website should center around the creation of a easy-to-use product display system. Rise decided to make the products a staple of the new Scient’X homepage through a Flash-driven “product matrix.” All of the Scient’X’s surgical tool offerings can now be accessed via the homepage, eliminating the need to drill down through numerous levels of navigation for those who know what they’re looking for prior to visiting the site. The product section itself was radically altered, as well, broken into product categories that now allow for quick browsing once the user is already on a product page.
The visual design of the new Scient’X site was approached as a compliment to the already existing Scient’X brand. Rise added the right amount of texture and color to support the brand’s pristine image while visually highlighting important features as a compliment to the site’s functional interaction design.
The Scient’X team was also in need of programming solutions. Rise provided an administration interface, hidden from the typical user, that allows the Scient’X team to update their news section and track employee prospects all through a simple web-based portal.
Thanks to Rise, Scient’X is no longer concerned that its products will go unseen due to shoddy information design, ensuring that surgeons who need the right tools have easy access when it counts.
